Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead follows a group of friends who we've seen before - just in a slightly different context. When CB's dog died from rabies, he begins to question the existence of an afterlife. His best friend is too high to provide any coherent speculations. His sister has gone goth. His ex-girlfriend has been institutionalized. His other friends are too drunk to give him any kind of support. After meeting a kid who is often bullied, CB find peace of mind and a new friendship that pushes teen angst to the very limits. Drug use, suicide, eating disorders, teen violence, rebellion, and sexual identity collide and careen toward an ending that's both haunting and hopeful.
