About Me.
Hi! I'm Allison. I am originally from the US but now call London home. I am an avid reader, a Pilates instructor, at my happiest whenever the sun is out, and I am deeply passionate about the development of new plays and musicals.
I had the privilege to study at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City, the Virginia Governors School for Performing Arts and receive my B.A in Musical Theatre Performance from The University of Alabama. After graduating, I worked as an actor, director, dramaturg, literary manager, and teacher at theatres based in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Illinois and Nebraska. In Autumn of 2022, I moved to London and received my M.A with distinction from the University of East London in 2023.

While I was a student at the University of Alabama, someone dared me to submit a directing proposal to the student led production company. As I am never one to shy away from a challenge, I researched, crafted, and submitted a proposal. To my surprise, my proposal was accepted. My show won two awards at the end of that school year. The next year, I worked alongside a playwriting graduate student and began crafting my technique as an actor focused director and new work dramaturg.

Character development and storytelling are at the forefront of my focus as both a Director and as a Dramaturg. I enjoy working intimately with playwrights and actors to fully realise the world of each play. I find projects have the most success when I am not only respecting the voice and vision of the playwright but also of the actors. Creating a space where I can guide the combination of all of our creative voices, brings a fullness to the story line that truly allows for a seamless transition from the page to the stage.
