Allison just celebrated her third year anniversary of living in Chicago and is proud to call the Windy City home!  She recently directed That Was Huge, the 21st Season Opener for 2nd Story. She is reading scripts and helping to develop new musicals as a Literary Intern with Underscore Theatre Company. She is also a certified Pilates Instructor.


The Virginia native graduated from The University of Alabama in 2014 with a degree in Musical Theatre and Communication Studies. Before graduating, Allison directed three plays and co-directed another. She found her true passion for directing and is determined to continue expanding her knowledge of the craft.  


After graduation, Allison headed east to Vero Beach Florida to work as an actor, director and educator at Riverside Children's Theatre. She directed two musicals, toured four shows throughout Central Florida, and taught multiple acting classes. She also served as the tour manager, a company member for Riverside Theatre and a production team member.


She then took on a similar position at New Stage Theatre in Jackson, MS for their 2015 - 2016 season. Allison appeared in eight of their shows, while serving as the Tour Manager for the intern company, intern social media administrator, Assistant Director of the Youth Acting Troupe, Associate Director of the second stage series: Unframed and in school educator. She had the pleasure to assistant direct two mainstage shows and direct Nick Payne's, Constellations, for the second stage series. 

Since moving to Chicago, Allison has taken on new challenges in and out of the city. She toured New England with the National Theatre for Children last fall, directed a staged reading of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson at Omaha Community Playhouse and has served as a House Manager at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. She had the pleasure to work with 20% Theatre Company for their Snapshots Festival, the Pride Arts Center Late Night Series, 26, and 2nd Story.
