Theatre kid.

Sophomore year of high school, my best friend forced me to audition for the school play. When I saw my name on a cast list for the first time, I knew I would be a theatre kid for life. Since that first audition, I have had the honor to work professionally in Alabama, New York, Florida, Mississippi, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Chicago.

Let's create something.

I am the Literary Manager for Underscore Theatre Company in Chicago, IL and a freelance director. Recently, I have worked with the American Music Theatre Project at Northwestern University, 2nd Story, and the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival, where I was awarded Best Direction for the 2020 festival.

In January of 2021, Whitney Rhodes and I co-produced a virtual workshop through Underscore Theatre called Underscore Develops. We selected three, mostly finished new musicals, then hired professional actors, directors and music directors to workshop them. The teams, Whitney, and myself worked with the writers to develop a stronger book and score. It was one of the most educational and rewarding experiences of my professional career.

In May of 2014, I graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre. While in college, I was fortunate to direct three full length productions. In 2011, I was accepted to the Stella Adler Studio of Acting Summer Conservatory and spent my summer studying in New York City. After college, I worked professionally as an actor and director at a year-long internship at Riverside Children’s Theatre, in Vero Beach, Florida. Followed by a similar year-long internship at New Stage Theatre, in Jackson, Mississippi. While working at New Stage Theatre, I served as the Associate Director of Unframed Theatre. I was then hired for short contracts with the National Theatre for Children and Omaha Community Playhouse. After these contracts were finished, I moved to Chicago to begin freelance directing and assistant directing.
