Billy and the Potato Powered Time Machine was the recipient of "Most Promising Musical" as well as "Best Direction" in the 2020 Chicago Musical Theatre Festival.
Billy and the Potato Powered Time Machine is a rock and roll TYA musical. Billy and Jaime's parents are getting a divorce, so their mom takes them to live at Grandma's house. While playing in the basement, they discover a time machine. Not just any time machine, a time machine powered by potatoes. Billy uses the time machine to get his homework finished, make honor roll and defeat the school bully. Until one day, things start to go wrong. Billy, Jaime and their mom work together to find a way to change their future for the better.
